Buraco Plus Classic<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Classic version of Buraco Plus is played with two decks of French cards, including jokers, for a total of 108 cards. The game can be played in pairs (two against two) or head-to-head (one against one).<\/p>

Game Setup<\/strong><\/p>

    • Deal the cards clockwise, one card at a time, until each player has eleven cards.<\/li>
    • Simultaneously form two bundles of eleven cards each, known as \u201cPOTs.\u201d In 1vs1 matches, each player takes one POT, while in 2vs2 games, each pair takes one POT.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

      Gameplay<\/strong><\/p>

        • On your turn, you can either draw a card from the main deck or take all the cards from the discard pile.<\/li>
        • After making your choice, you can create valid combinations using the cards in your possession or add single cards to existing combinations.<\/li>
        • Valid combinations include sequences of three or more cards of the same suit forming a scale, and three or more cards of the same value regardless of suit.<\/li>
        • Each combination can have a maximum of one joker or \u201cpinella\u201d (the 2 card).<\/li>
        • The objective is to be the first to get rid of all your cards and collect one of the POTs.<\/li>
        • Points are awarded for valid combinations, bonuses, and making a Buraco (a combination of 7 or more cards).\u00a0<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

          Buraco<\/strong><\/p>

            • A combination\/scale consisting of at least seven cards is called a Buraco.
              • A Buraco can be:<\/li>
              • Clean:<\/strong>\u00a0It contains neither jokers nor pinella, and its value is 200 points.<\/li>
              • Dirty:<\/strong>\u00a0It contains either a joker or a pinella, and its value is 100 points.<\/li>
              • Semi-cleaned:<\/strong>\u00a0It has seven cards in order above or below the joker or pinella, and its value is 150 points.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
              • It is not possible to create a Buraco with jokers or pinella.<\/li>
              • At any time during the game or when closing a deal, a clean Buraco can be turned into a dirty Buraco.<\/li>
              • It is possible to make a dirty Buraco with a Pinella a clean Buraco if the Pinella takes on the value of 2.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                Points<\/strong><\/p>

                  • Cards 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are worth 5 points each.<\/li>
                  • Cards 8, 9, 10, J, Q, and K are worth 10 points each.<\/li>
                  • The Ace is worth 15 points.<\/li>
                  • The 2 (Pinella) is worth 20 points.<\/li>
                  • The Joker is worth 30 points.<\/li>
                  • Clean Buraco is worth 200 points.<\/li>
                  • Dirty Buraco is worth 100 points.<\/li>
                  • Semi-cleaned Buraco is worth 150 points.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                    Game Objective<\/strong><\/p>

                    The purpose of the game is to score the points established for the closure of the game before your opponents. To achieve victory, you must:<\/p>

                      • Make the most combinations.<\/li>
                      • End the cards taken at the start of the game and collect one of the POTs.<\/li>
                      • Make at least one Buraco, a combination of 7 or more cards (both scales and cards of the same value).<\/li>
                      • After collecting the POT, keep no cards in hand and discard one last card.<\/li>
                      • To \u201cClose,\u201d it is necessary to discard a card that is neither a pinella nor a joker.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                        Game Scoring<\/strong><\/p>

                          • Closing ensures a bonus of 100 points for the winning team or player.<\/li>
                          • If a team or player has not gone to the POT, they lose 100 points. For all the cards that remain in the hands of the player or team at the time of the opponent\u2019s closing, the player will have the exact score subtracted based on the value of those cards.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                                    Taking the Well<\/strong><\/p>

                                      • A player or team can take the well twice, provided the opponent has not already obtained the second well.
                                        • In Indirect mode, the first well can be taken by either:<\/li>
                                        • Finishing all the cards in hand by discarding them or<\/li>
                                        • Finishing \u201con the fly\u201d (playing all the cards in hand without discarding).<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
                                        • The second well can be taken only by finishing \u201con the fly\u201d without discarding any cards.<\/li>
                                        • In Direct mode, the well can only be obtained by finishing all the cards \u201con the fly.\u201d The mode does not allow the player(s) to take the first or second well by discarding the last card.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                                          Game Modes<\/strong><\/p>

                                            • There are two game modes: Direct and Indirect.<\/li>
                                            • In the Direct mode, the game ends by finishing all the cards \u201con the fly.\u201d<\/li>
                                            • In the Indirect mode, the game ends by ending the cards in hand, discarding the last card.<\/li>
                                            • The MAKART OPTION, if selected, will force players to take a card from the deck, if the player has only 1 card remaining in his hand and the discard pile has only 1 card.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                                              Buraco<\/strong><\/p>

                                                • A combination\/scale consisting of at least seven cards is called a Buraco.
                                                  • A Buraco can be:<\/li>
                                                  • Clean:<\/strong>\u00a0It does not contain the wild card 2(unless the the wild card 2 takes on the value of 2), and its value is 200 points<\/span>.<\/li>
                                                  • Dirty:<\/strong>\u00a0It contains a\u00a0card 2<\/span>\u00a0not in its original position, and its value is 100 points.<\/li>
                                                  • It is possible to create a buraco of 2, the game in this case ends immediately and will be considered a victory.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                                                    Note:\u00a0Once a Buraco is formed with a \u2018Dirty\u2019 combination, it will remain \u2018Dirty\u2019 regardless of any subsequent rearrangement or correction of the 2 card\u2019s position<\/span><\/p>

                                                    Points<\/strong><\/p>

                                                      • Cards 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are worth 5 points each.<\/li>
                                                      • Cards 2, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, and K are worth 10 points each.<\/li>
                                                      • The Ace is worth 15 points.<\/li>
                                                      • Clean Buraco is worth 200 points.<\/li>
                                                      • Dirty Buraco is worth 100 points.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

                                                            75 Points Rule<\/strong><\/p>

                                                            When a player or team accumulates 1000 points in the game, the \u201c75 Points Rule\u201d comes into effect. Under this rule, the following conditions apply:<\/p>

                                                              1. Minimum Score Requirement:<\/strong>\u00a0In the first turn after reaching 1000 points, each player or team must achieve a minimum of 75 points. Failure to reach this threshold will result in a 20-point penalty for that turn.<\/li>
                                                              2. Increasing Minimum Score Requirement:<\/strong>\u00a0For each subsequent turn in which a player or team fails to meet the minimum score requirement, the minimum required score for the next turn will increase by an additional 20 points. This means that in the next turn, they must achieve 95 points, and in the turn after that, 115 points, and so on, until they successfully meet the required minimum score.<\/li>
                                                              3. When a player attempts to put down cards to reach the required score, all players at the table must be shown the cards being used to achieve this score<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>

                                                                Game Scoring<\/strong><\/p>

                                                                  • Closing ensures a bonus of 100 points for the winning team or player.<\/li>
                                                                  • If a team or player has not gone to the well, they lose 100 points. For all the cards that remain in the hands of the player or team at the time of the opponent\u2019s closing, the player will have the exact score subtracted based on the value of those cards.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
